Coaches Meeting

Team registration and introductory coaches meeting/orientation will be held at Langley Events  Centre, Wednesday Mar. 7th,2012 at 6 pm in Meeting room "A" (LEC arena--4th floor).  This meeting will introduce you to the tournament director, review the tournament rules and guidelines, ensure tournament protocols are known and answer any questions people may have regarding the tournament. Every team should have a representative attend this meeting.

The annual Tournament Banquet will be hosted at the Langley Events Centre with a full buffet dinner (following registration and coaches meeting) at 7:00 pm.


Coaches Checklist

By Monday, February 27th

  1. Registered with the BCJGBA
  2. Emailed a jpeg team photo, submitted a team roster and emailed a jpeg individual head shot of each player to Chris Veale at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  3. Cheque for entry fee - $300 payable to Langley Events Centre. (cheques can be brought to the coaches meeting)
  4. Booked hotel reservations by February 27th, 2012 –the earlier the better!

By Thursday, March 1st

  1. Submitted team order form for clothing, banquet tickets and programs. -REMEMBER THURSDAY, MARCH 1st, 2012 DEADLINE

  2. Cheque for team clothing, banquet tickets and programs – payable to Langley Events Centre (cheques can be brought to coaches meeting)

By Wednesday, March 7th

  1. Returned or collected any perpetual tournament trophies
  2. Gathered two door prizes for tournament banquet
  3. First-Aid supplies packed
  4. Bring own game warmup basketballs

By Thursday, March 8th

  1. Purchased tickets to the Friday night AAA Senior girls event( see below)


Coaches Activities

  • Team registration/ Coaches Introductory Meeting– Wednesday, March 7th, 2012 6:00p.m. at  Langley Events Centre.  This meeting should will less than an hour.
  • Tournament Banquet – Follows Coaches Meeting-Wednesday, March 7th   Time --7:00pm
  • BCJGBA Annual General Meeting – Saturday, March 10th, 8:15 a.m. at  Langley Events Centre
  • Closing Ceremonies – LEC gymnasium main court, following championship final game.
  • Coaches lunch provision- from 1pm to 2:30 pm on Thursday and Friday a pizza lunch will be provided for coaches.

Team Activities

  • There will an opportunity for all teams to attend the Senior Girls AAA semi final action at Capilano University on the Friday evening.  Bus transportation will be available from the Langley Events Centre.  The cost will be $15.00 per person and includes transportation and admission to the games.  Tickets must be purchased prior to the end of your teams first game on Thursday, March 8th.
